…and Clyde is here, greeting you a Merry Christmas with a glass of milk and a platter of chocolate chip cookies!

Christmas has been one of my most favorite events in my entire life. I am and will always be amazed with this day, not because of family reunions and the lovely dinner with them, not because of the presents that I might get to open or the gifts I might give away. There will always, always be a deeper meaning of this day for me and that is the reason why I am enthusiastically facing this day.

Two thousand years ago, there came a little baby which will always remind me of how great God's love is for us. How that one silent night, a baby came crying as if announcing to the whole world that He came with a great news.

I am in celebration of this day, in awe to be exact, wondering about that one silent night. Thinking about Mary's relief the moment she heard the first cry of her newborn. Was she worried about their location that time? Was she thinking things about the baby's future just like the other women who've given birth? I was thinking about that joy she felt the moment she first held that baby she carried inside her womb for nine months, the moment she felt his warmth in her arms, that moment she mentioned his name, that name mentioned to be given to him by the angel, Gabriel (Luke 1:31).

I was also wondering about that moment when Jesus came to this world. A tiny baby crying, totally unaware of what he'll go through, but aware of the sudden change in his surroundings as he searched for the warmth that his mother's womb has provided for him.

What did Joseph felt the moment he saw Mary carrying the tiny baby Jesus? I was wondering what he felt the moment he saw his family being put together, Jesus now in their hands as a proof of God's promise and plan for mankind. The moment he realized that he and Mary aren't just couples anymore but parents.

I imagine most of these things and to top it all, that reason God has for everyone all bundled in that one tiny baby. From a baby's cry, to endless wisdom shared, a channel of God's love to us, to the cross, to Him defeating death and rising again, to Him ascending to heaven to his Father.

God sent his son to us to die for our sins. All because of his great love for us, he allowed these to happen because God really wanted to be with us. He just wouldn't want to let go. I love Christmas for it reminds me of the greatest gift that I have ever received. It reminds me of the great, great love that God has for us, enough to erase all of our doubts if anyone do love us truly.

And as we gather around the table to share a feast with our fellow families, may we never forget the real reason why we're celebrating this season, why we have Christmas in the first place. All because of a baby born in that silent night and the stubborn love of a father to his sons and daughters.

Merry Christmas, everyone! God bless you! Now, go on and hug a family member near you tight.

Will you join me in this simple feast of milk and cookies?

"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."  -Isaiah 9:6

Here's my family, greeting you a Merry Christmas. From: Leo, Nancy, Dane, Casey, Clyde, and Doughnut

It's been weeks and I haven't realized, I've been in hiatus for long. I allotted a month of silence in respect to the tragedy that recently affected our fellow countrymen in Visayas region and as a quiet phase for myself as well. I got really absorbed with reading the past few days that putting down a book for meals or bathroom breaks had been that hard for me. I guess my nerdy side had taken over me, again. Sighs. Anyway, December is here! The season to be jolly, and thankful, and feel grateful, and be extra clingy to our family members. Now, isn't that something we've all been looking forward to?

And now, as I defrost, I shall update this blog regarding the adventure I haven't reported yet and hopefully, something new to share with you, guys.

Looking forward to running back in the arms of my writing side. See you ze next post!

Happy Birthday, Mom! Your birthday message will be up, soon as well.

    Hugs! Cheerios to everyone!

    To My Dearest Eldest Sister,

To be honest, I've prayed for an older brother way back when I was little and never knew that one cannot change into a boy the moment they wake up the next day just because of your silly sister's prayer before going to bed. I admit that I asked for that for a week every single night just because I loved the idea of having a kuya (from all the books and television shows/cartoons). And maybe because I felt like having one older sister's enough and two makes it a jungle. (What? Please don't be mad at me when I sort of admire that idea. I was three!)

Anyway, with all the fervent prayers, I always wake up to the same you- a big sister. Confused, I thought that maybe I'm not exerting enough efforts in prayers or haven't been a good girl lately or maybe He saw me making fun of the bubble wrap when I'm supposed to be in bed, sleeping. But then I've learned that God has a purpose why I have an ate after some series of funny three-year-old prayers, questions to our parents, growing up, schooling, and some episodes of tantrums and afternoon naps.

Isn't it such an interesting intro? Hehe. I love you, Dem!
