안녕하세요!~~~ Greetings From A Long-Time-No-Blog Return!

12:17 AM

I've been gone out for too long and I admit that though I am not off the international online connections, I had been all over the place spending time with real people in the real world, taking inconsistent hiatus, and being a hermit as well. Also, I had been updating files and fixing the needed papers for my employment. Yep, the freelancer Clyde has been signed under a company!

But, seriously? What have I been up to, lately? Let me give you a rundown, a glimpse of what I've been busy with for the past days.

Pages in a book I saw at the Children's section in a Booksale. Hilarious but why is it in the Children's section?
  1. I've been spending time reading books. The tangible ones and the virtual. Yep, for the span of two weeks or so, I had finished reading like six to eight books (and I still have like ongoing reads right now!). I've been visiting bookstores a looooot! And though I've been saving up a lot, lately for my future plans, here comes a random bookstore visit while the family went out for dinner. I asked if I could be excused for a washroom break since we're still waiting for the meal to come. When I suddenly had the courage to make a detour to my favorite bookstore. Then, here comes the two latest books in the Flavia de Luce series I've been following, waving at me by the shelf! GAAAAH! I swear you'll hear me squealing when I got the two books in my hand. So there, I ended up returning to the family dinner with the two books warmly tucked in my arms. Mind you, they're the only copy left in that branch!
  2. What a bibliophile! I tweeted about this the last time. Too happy with the two books I've been waiting for!

  3. Our Bible Study Group had successfully carried out the next Beauty 101 event we've planned for this year! Yey! The first one tackled about Beauty (it's real meaning) and some make-up session from a professional artist. This time, we discussed about relaxation, peace, and rest. We invited a guest speaker for the event, this time, a nurse who now owns a spa. We're taught of how to relieve ourselves from stress by self-massage and possible things you could do to de-stress. Also our leader talked about how we could fully rest on God's presence. How all the problems that we think is so big, is truly tinier than a grain of sand compared to the big God and Father that we have. I was the designated photographer/the crazy lady who loved the crackers at the snack table/squirrel that night.
My plain drinking cup won't always end up plain. I decided to be a Squirrel that night! (Homage to the crush!)

For some reason, I unconsciously channeled my illegitimate brother from another country!

Here's my illegit older brother (the one in button-down) with le original Squirrel. We look alike, right?

    Spot the Cup!
  4. Sidelines/freelancing! A friend of mine asked me if I would like to be the other camera person to his team. I agreed with it, why not grab the opportunity. And so, a Sunday spent at Baliuag, Bulacan and a cute couple for their pre-nup shoot. That day was fun! Maybe it's also because of my fascination with traveling, stop-overs, nature-feel locations, photos, candid moments, etc. And yes, as what I have said earlier, I had tons of fun!
The team with the couple! Wrap-up shot.
  5. The outside / real world! I've gotten myself out of our house! And I've been pretty much excited about it. I love outdoors as much as I love being indoors. I love the real life interactions/feelings/satisfaction you get from meeting your friends and family members face-to-face, spending your precious time with them for new memories together, getting things done together, eating together. I really don't care if I have to shell out some money, as long as I get to see them, spend time with them. Family dinners, Family day-outs.. Sunday Dinners with Clingy Friends! Oh, and I was able to meet my friends Joie and Kate in an adventure in Baclaran in hopes to find stocks and partners for their upcoming business. I had fun spending the entire afternoon with the two of them since we don't usually see each other. We went to shops, made fun of ourselves, ate together, walked looking for banks, we even did some recordings and discussed concepts for our group. Fun!
Candid shot from the Clingy Friends Sunday Dinner!

A photo to commemorate our first ever recording. Joie, I, and Kate
  6. Papers, papers, renewals, and check-ups. Our family had our passports renewed. It's funny we're all together in this, since our family's a bit different when it comes to accomplishing tasks such as this. We turn into some sort of a pool of friends enjoying their time together, the ultra-happy type of bunch. I also had some of my papers made (employment requirements) and that check-up! Blood, needles, aaaah! It's good to know that I am normal and not what I dreaded to hear: Underweight. So far, so good. And I happen to not look like a Filipino in most of my photos. Sisters said I'm starting to look more Korean/Japanese, lately.
Me in my shortest haircut, ever! Phone decided to take just blurry photos this day.
  7. Recording. I've tried to record, made some cover of random songs just to try it. Also, to hear what my voice sounds like when played in a recording. So far, a number of views and downloads. And my voice sounds different.
The only teaser I could release. Here's my Cover design minus some elements!
  8. Studying! I've been training again, musical training that is. I'm trying to level up with my instrument and hopefully, be successful now in sight-reading. Also, I've been stretching my vocal chords since it's been a long time since I sang in public. Also, to help in recordings and future plans with Joie and Kate. I've also started to dance, again. Ahhh, it's been years! I've also been studying another language. As what you could see in the title of this blog post, I've been learning 한국어 (Hangugeo), hoping someday as well that I might be able to visit Korea and be comfortable with conversing with the locals just in case I might need help and they don't know how to speak English or their English is not so good. Plus, learning other languages has been a part of my bucket list. Next one on the language department list would probably be 日本語 (Nihongo).
Teaser. Sneak Peek of whatever Joie, Kate, and I are up to minus ultra major elements!
This is the only part I could release, in the mean time. It's like 1/16 of the entire image.
  9. Being a Hermit. Days when you just want to stay in and read a book. ANd drink tea in the afternoon. Or do movie marathon. Or make some crafts. Or spend time with your pets. Or veer out from technology.

There you go! Nothing really eventful. Just a day/snippet in the life of the recently dormant wanderlust. Ooooh, and hey, I've made some international friends, lately! From Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia. It feels so amazing, I really can't explain how happy I've been. It's one of things I would love to experience! Wish I could meet some new ones from Japan, Korea, and other countries!

The Lord is good, He allowed me to experience these. All is well and I am in great shape. May you be in great shape as well!

What are you up to, recently?

God bless you!

Cheerio! 뿅!~~~
